All vacancies for Hoover City Schools (teaching, administrative, custodial, etc.) are posted on the Alabama State Department of Education's Teach in Alabama website.  These vacancies are also posted at each of our locations (schools, operations department, transportation department, etc.) for a minimum of seven (7) days.  An application must be completed online in order to be considered for any vacancy.  

CURRENT EMPLOYEES - INTERNAL TRANSFER APPLICATION

If you are currently employed by Hoover City Schools and are interested in applying for a vacancy in our school system, please click on the "CURRENT EMPLOYEES - INTERNAL TRANSFER APPLICATION" link above to complete a *transfer application.  A copy of a current resume should be attached and submitted as directed.

CERTIFIED POSITIONS - TEACHERS/ADMINISTRATORS

Visit the above link and follow the Alabama Department of Education's instructions to complete the application for any certified positions.  Hoover City Schools requires the following attachments with your online application:

Copy of College Transcripts
Copy of Current Resume

If you are recommended for hire, other documentation may be required including original transcripts, copy of driver’s license, copy of Social Security card, and proof of background clearance. 

CLASSIFIED POSITIONS

Classified positions are jobs that do not require a teaching certificate. Examples include personnel in maintenance, child nutrition program, bus drivers, instructional support aides, secretaries and other support staff. To apply for these positions, complete the online application by using the above link.
